Outlook XP or 2003 Configuration Instructions

  1. Start Outlook
  2. From the top menu bar, click on Tools and then click on E-mail Accounts:

  3.  Select Add a new e-mail account and click the Next button:

  4. Select POP3 as the server type, and then click the Next button:

  5. Enter your Email settings as follows:
    1. ​Your Name: this is the name recipients will see in the From box when you send email.  You can use your first and last name, or your agency name, for example
    2. Email Address: your full NexCite email address
    3. Username: your full NexCite email address
    4. Password: the password assigned to your NexCite email account (leave box checked to remember password)
    5. Incoming Mail Server:
    6. Outgoing Mail Server:
  6. Click on the More Settings button
  7. Click on the Outgoing Server tab:

    1. Check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication checkbox
    2. Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
  8. Click on the Advanced tab:
    1. Set Outgoing mail (SMPT): port to 465
    2. Check box for This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
    3. Set Incoming mail (POP3): port to 995
    4. Check box for This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
    5. Check box for Leave a copy of messages on server
    6. Check box for "Remove from server after x days" and set to 7
    7. Click OK. You will be returned to the Email Accounts Wizard
  9. Click on Next

  10. Click on Finish to complete the creation of your new account
